250 gr zucchero a velo

250 gr burro a pomata

250 gr di  mandorle tritate o farina di mandorle

2 uova intere

1 cucchiaio di farina

1 manciata di pistacchi tritati

2 o 3 cucchiai di zucchero di canna

Anice stellato qb

A parte mescolare lo zucchero a velo col burro a pomata finché non si ottiene un impasto spumoso, aggiungere le mandorle polverizzate (in caso può essere usata anche della farina di mandorle);

Ingredients

2 packages of phyllo dough

250 gr icing sugar

250 gr. of almond powder or almond flour

250 gr butter cream

2 eggs

1 tablespoon of flour

1 handful of chopped pistachios

2 or 3 tablespoons of brown sugar

Star Anise

Unroll the sheets of phyllo dough. Overlapp them in multiple sheets (see picture below).

Mix the icing sugar with the butter cream inside a bowl until you get a frothy mixture, and then add the  almonds (you can also use almond flour)

Now add the eggs and flour to this mixture. Mix well and then place the compound using a tablespoon like in the picture shown below. Add then the chopped pistachios, the crushed star anise and the sugar cane.

Roll up the phyllo dough around the filling, making a spiral (like in the picture) and bake it at 180 degrees for 45 min.

It’s important that you always check the cake (without opening the oven) until the surface becomes  brownish and crumbly. If a bit of the filling comes out , you can simply remove it.

Take it out of the oven only when it is cool and sprinkle it with icing sugar.

You can serve the cake slices  with Vanilla ice-cream.[:]
